This might come as a surprise to people, but things like mercury, arsenic, and other highly toxic materials are currently NOT regulated under the clean air act. The EPA has proposed new rules that would keep these highly toxic chemicals out of our air…they are being fought tooth and nail by large companies, and their republican allies in the house and senate. If you got a minute you might want to call up your rep and let them know you support a strong EPA and a strong Clean air act.
