How do you feel about the government bailout? I personally feel bad for the people who will lose their jobs, but honestly the big three auto makers have to have seen this coming for YEARS. My personal dream would be for the government to bail out the automakers with the understanding that they must move to completely producing nothing but electric cars, and that all surplus factories will be retrofitted to produce nothing but solar panels and wind turbines…but then again I pay attention to what is going on in the world. Something I am not sure automakers or politicians do.
So what do you think?
Bail them out but on the condition that they’re not allowed to advertise: they wouldn’t last a second, and the public would be a hell of a lot less brainwashed about the “need” to drive.
If it’s going to happen, make drastic improvements to fuel efficiency and reductions in CO2 emissions a pre-condition of any funding.
