In what is quickly becoming a banner day for American renewable energy companies Solectria Renewables has completed delivery of more than 5 MegaWatts (MW) of 95 kW three-phase grid-tied inverters for multiple photovoltaic (PV) systems in South Korea. These systems were designed and installed by Hyundai Heavy Industries and Jarada Co. Ltd., Solectria Renewables’ distributor in South Korea. This is a great example of American made products being exported to other countries. These high tech jobs are powering our economy, and making the world a better place at the same time.
These utility-scale PV system power plants, located in the Haenam, Geochang, and Jeongeup provinces of South Korea, include a 1.2 MW, 1.4 MW, and 1.6 MW installation. Each use Solectria Renewables’ advanced PVI 95 kW-480 VAC and PVI 100 kW-480 VAC inverters; the systems employ a dedicated medium voltage utility feed at 39.4 kVAC.
These installations provide maximum overall system efficiency, multiple maximum power point tracking zones, and excellent redundancy over multiple 100 kW sections of the system. All systems are also easy to install and maintain. Each include RS-485-based communications for remote site monitoring and on-site PC monitoring, which users may easily connect with on the web to configure and view all systems.
“Solectria Renewables’ inverter products provide the quality, efficiency, value, and lead time required by our customers in South Korea,” said M.Y. Lee, Principal of Jarada Co. Ltd. “Like Hyundai Heavy Industries, additional Jarada customers will be utilizing Solectria Renewables’ products within the next 12 months.”
