Truly sobering, and terrifying video. “The gulf appears to be bleeding” made me want to cry into my hands, this has been such a depressing time for me. I would hope that this makes everyone question their oil use. This is not BP’s fault, this is our fault. We want to drive cars, we want to use plastic, we want all the things we use oil for. So BP went out and dug a big hole and drilled for oil, not because they felt like it, but because they can sell it to us.

I look at this and I feel horrible for my small part in this tragedy. It has only renewed my convictions that I must try to eliminate as much usage of oil as I can in my day to day life. Only this kind of culture shift will result in this sort of thing no longer being needed.
