We are not ready, not at all.
The dutch spent billions and took decades to build their sea defense, we have nothing even close to that.
Reading the science on global warming paints a grim future if we don’t take dramatic immediate action.
While the rest of the world seems to at least give lip service to the crisis, and some places are actually taking it seriously, America lead by Trumps republicans and corporate democrats are busy selling out to the highest bidder, which sadly is the fossil fuel industry.
We should be de-carbonizing our economy, instead we are putting tariffs on solar panels, and crippling the wind industry with steal and aluminum tariffs. The rest of the world will eat our lunch.
Having a nearly 100% renewable energy economy is a HUGE economic advantage vs a society still paying for coal/oil/gas. If you think that’s the worst just wait until they all decide to put a carbon tax on goods, and everything america makes now costs so much we can’t compete on the global scale.
On the flip side, there are hundreds of thousands of jobs, and billions of dollars to be made cleaning up the air, un-polluting the oceans, and SAVING ALL HUMANKIND FROM CERTAIN DOOM…but who would want to do that.

Tell them you will be watching them closely on how they vote, and will hold them accountable during the next election if they cave to Trump. You can also call other states congress people and threaten to donate to their opponent if they don’t do what you want.
