Most of the early morning solar gadgets I feature are pretty worthless in the long run, just another bit of e-waste waiting to get into a landfill, but this one has some potential. Like most things with potential its going to take some work on your part. First meet the Go-Hug Electric Bicycle Kit,
This kit is a replacement for the front hub of most bikes allowing you to tool around town at up to 19 mph, which when combined with your own peddling can get you places pretty fast. It runs on some batteries stashed in a pack on the back.
It would be fairly simply to buy yourself two of these battery kits, and a couple solar panels and make yourself a solar battery charger (See how to make a smaller version here). While you were out tooling around town your solar panels are back home juicing up your battery pack for your next ride. If you go too far from home and run down the battery, you always have your own two legs as backup power supplies.
You can buy your own Go-Hub here.
