Early Morning Solar Gadget – Solar Wireless Rain Meter

Many times I have driven down the road and seen lawn sprinklers going gang busters during a heavy rain storm. That’s because more timers have no way to tell if its already raining outside and just go right ahead watering the lawn during the deluge. Well no more! The Solar-Powered Wireless Rain Sensor shuts off sprinklers when it rains.

# Rain sensor wirelessly alerts timer or automatic sprinkler system to shut off during rainfall
# Adjustable settings for rainfall trigger from 1/8-inch to 1 inch
# Solar-powered sensor needs no electricity, wires, or replaced batteries

Stop wasting water during unexpected rainstorms. By connecting a rain sensor to your irrigation system, your sprinklers can shut off automatically when it starts raining, so you won’t be watering your lawn unnecessarily. Best of all, the Solar Wireless Rain/Freeze Sensor requires no electricity or connection wires, so it sets up in minutes and won’t add to your monthly utility bills.

Specifications

The Solar Wireless Rain/Freeze Sensor gets its power from the sun. This sensor mounts easily to a rain gutter or any flat surface using the included mounting materials, and the sun charges its internal battery. When the sensor detects rainfall, it sends a wireless signal up to 200 feet to the receiver, which connects to your timer system to shut it off automatically. You can adjust the amount of rainfall detected, from one-eighth inch to one inch, before sending the signal.

The waterproof Solar Wireless Rain/Freeze Sensor can be used with either indoor or outdoor timers, and it also contains a digital freeze sensor, which prevents your sprinkler from running in freezing conditions to protect your lawn and garden area. A manual bypass switch allows watering any time.
