NOFA 5-day Course in Organic Land Care – Register NOW!
The 8th annual NOFA 5-day Course in Organic Land Care will be held:
Feb. 17, 18, 19, 20 and 23, 2009 at Birch Hill in Schodack, NY (just outside Albany)
Offered by the Northeast Organic Farming Associaton’s Organic Land Care Program, this is an intensive (accreditation optional) course covering all aspects of organic land care, design, management and maintenance. Topics include Site Analysis, Mulching, Lawns, Lawn Alternatives, Planting, Soil Health, the Soil Food Web, Composting, Wetlands, Wildlife Mgmt., Insect, Weeds and Disease Management, Invasives, Running a Business, Client Relations and much more! There are 18 speakers during the five days, each speaking expertly on different topics. The course is recommended for landscape professionals, designers, grounds keepers and anyone wanting to learn organic methods of land management. An accreditation exam is given on the last day and those who pass become NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professionals, advertised on our website and in our annual print guide. Accreditation is optional and can be paid for during the course. $550 course fees; $150 exam/accreditation.
