That last post was so depressing that I needed a bit of perspective. Here she is, in all her beauty. (click for much larger image)

This is the most widely distributed picture in the world. It shows once and for all that yes Virginia, the world is round. It also perfectly demonstrates just how small and fragile our world is.

Here are some updated “blue marble” pictures(this one put together from many small pictures). They show in even greater detail the wonder that is our planet, and emphasize just how much more we need to care about it.
