Renewable Energy Roundup

I know the last couple of Thursday roundups have been, well a bit small. I am sorry. I have shamed myself in the eyes of my forefathers. To make up for it I have rounded up a whole heaping bunch of renewable energy news for you this week. So without further blabbering to the roundup!

cardboard room

I have always wanted to build a huge structure out of recycled cardboard, seems someone has beaten me to the punch. Did a better job than I would have to boot.

Rhode Island is planning its own very nice offshore wind project. I wish them the best of luck.

Which is a good idea seeing as how a newly released study shows they could meet 75% of their energy needs with wind power.

Ethanol might make air quality worse for large cities, just another reason to think about electric cars powered by renewable energy.

More bad news for ethanol, seems the cellulose market might not be ready till 2015.

elephants

Don’t give up hope just yet, seems scientists have found a rather unique micro-beasty in elephant poop that will allow them to make a new kind of biofuel.

Disney is going green, they have changed all their little magical trains over to biodiesel.

Al Gore finally got them solar panels installed, good for him. All rich people should be getting their energy solely from renewable power. They have the money, they should spend it on renewable energy.

Lifeway foods is going 100% renewable, another company waking up to the global warming news and taking action. Nice work.

Deval Patrick seems to be warming up to the governors position, now he is announcing more efficient state buildings. A good start.

Segway is going green for earth day, if you own a Segway make sure to register it, they will buy some carbon offsets in your name.

There, a much more respectable roundup. Want your news in the roundup, make sure to contact us and let us know.
