Smash And Grab
The mega rich got that way by taking other peoples money. They didn’t earn it through hard work
Bill Gates didn’t get to be that rich by working really hard at a job. He got that rich by taking some of his workers money, or some of your money, or some of the kids in china stamping out computer chips all day for pennies money. He took it from the environment by having e-waste dumped in China rather than paying for it here. An environmental commons that we all pay for, but he abused for free.
At every stage of the process he took some of the money that someone else should have earned, either by moving the job to a place with no labor or environmental laws, or by using his already vast wealth to pressure people into giving him discounts, either on products or taxes. Or by simply hiding them overseas so that he gets all the benefits of the system we have set up here (strong rule of law, good educated workers, good infrastructure, etc), without actually paying for any of it.
No one “earns” 100 billion dollars. If a fair wage is say $25 an hour for labor try to work out how many hours bill gates would have to work to get 100 billion. (ps. Thats 4 billion hours, or just over 456,621 years, roughly 2.5 times the age of the entire human species)
The government could just break up Apple or Microsoft, or Amazon tomorrow, call them a monopoly, call them illegal tax dodgers, the government is not helpless against these companies.
We are not helpless before the oligarchs, but they would sure like us to believe that we are.
Go read a book about FDR, or see how some other countries manage their economies. There have been and continue to be better versions of things than what we have here. We don’t even have to think up new systems, only copy others that work better than ours. Or hell even go back to the way things used to be here.
I am pretty distressed by how many weak willed, give up before they try, people there are in this world.
Don’t bow down to our oligarchs, even the benevolent ones are putting us in chains through their existence.
TAX THE RICH! Build a society that works for everyone, not just the 1%.

Tell them you will be watching them closely on how they vote, and will hold them accountable during the next election if they cave to Trump.
