Really you are against him because he wants to bring about peace? I am sad to say that I think all you are doing is assuring that history will look back poorly on you.

I’m a subscriber to this site because I enjoy the environmental aspect of it, but the political rhetoric is just terrible. You make the rest of us environmentally conscious people all look like left-wing logic-hating hippies, and it serves NOBODY’S best interests to put out junk like this.
Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize is like me winning the lottery without choosing my numbers. He just hasn’t done anything to DESERVE it (yet). That is the problem I, and most of the people I speak to, have with him getting it. I am certainly NOT an opponent of Obama, in fact I supported his bid for the presidency. However, I absolutely feel that the Nobel Peace Prize has been cheapened by this decision.
Your question of “you are against him because he wants to bring about peace?” is disingenuous at best, and downright disgusting at worst. I, and (I’m sure) the vast majority of other readers of this site, would LOVE for someone to bring about peace. But Obama just wanting to bring about peace does not a worthy prize-recipient make. Hell, I myself want to bring about peace, but I in no way claim to deserve a Nobel Peace Prize for it.
Also, you may want to reword the title of this post: it is the NNC who should be criticized for the bum decision, not Obama. About the only thing Obama could possibly be criticized for is not turning down the prize, though that is more of a grey area which I believe would be worth of discussion, what with politics and diplomacy playing a large role.
In short, think before you post. I have become more and more disappointed at what this site has become, which is little more than a partisan soapbox for mindless rhetoric. Please, Naib, get back to talking about solar water heaters made from refrigerator elements.
