There can be a lot of tricky stuff involved when dealing with zoning of small wind turbines. Lucky for us there is a free webinar on Thursday, January 17th, 2008 at 1:00 pm EST. The American Solar Energy Society’s Small Wind Division will host the first in a series of webinars on zoning for small wind. This webinar will offer interested small wind installers, potential buyers, advocates, and decision-makers, and others the opportunity to learn about issues related to the zoning of small wind systems (up to 100 kW). Jim Green from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory will provide a zoning overview. Existing on-line resources about zoning will be identified and an initiative by the ASES Small Wind Division to develop best practices for small wind zoning will be proposed.
