Could it be, have the Japanese high gods of technology finally delivered the bike from Akira?!

For those of you who aren’t mega geeks (or who don’t want to check out the wikipedia link above) Akira was the first really popular (in America) Anime (Japanese cartoons) and it had a profound impact on me as a young person. I think we might have a couple more prototypes to go but it can’t be too much further to go from this….

The best part, this new SUMO is going to be all electric and have a very decent range ( 120 miles per charge)and very nice top speed (90mph). At only 6 hours to recharge you could easily take this thing to work and back every day and only have to charge it every couple of days. Now if only they can make it in a fire apple red and provide a giant laser gun to go with it.
