Of all the ideas proposed last night about how to lower the price of gas, Mike Gravel had the best. He is right, we shouldn’t lower the price of gas. We should develop alternatives to gas, and use them instead. We should be making gas expensive enough that people will be very encouraged to stop using ancient technology that is bad for the planet.
I think a lot of the other ideas put forth on this issue last night were good ones, and I hope that many of them are adopted by whatever candidate ends up winning the nomination. Its refreshing to see these topics being put forth by EVERY candidate for the democrats. No longer will we be forced to pick the “eco” candidate, or the “economy” candidate. They seem for the most part to get it. You can be green and have a strong economy at the same time.
