Is it really Thursday again already? Well lucky for you I have a lovely roundup of good time renewable energy news for you this week. So here we go!
It seems the world bank has more problems that its leader getting jobs for his girlfriend. Looks like they are funding a lot of projects that make global warming worse, even though they talk about making it better. For shame.
They hydrogen economy is in my opinion still very far off, however these smart chaps have gotten us one step closer. Their breakthrough has allowed for the increased production of hydrogen through fermentation. Pretty neat.
Now this is what I like to see, a car that runs on air. Yes you read that right, it runs on compressed air. Very cool.
The city of Durango’s city government has gone 100% renewable, purchasing all of its power from wind farms.
San Francisco has banned the Styrofoam take out container. This should happen every where.
$52,000 (Australian) worth of solar panels have been stolen from a national park in the Northern Territory of Australia. Yikes, I guess when gas prices get high enough people will do just about anything for power.
Seems some blue collar unions are going green.
The first trials are being run on vehicle to grid power. Connecting plug in hybrids to the grid in order to feed power back in during peak load needs. Very interesting idea, one that could revolutionize the way we store renewably generated energy.
