Man today was brutal. Brutal in the sense that I ran a gravely all day through picker bushes. Big nasty ones. We were restoring bird habitat at the Ashumet Audubon Preserve. The swallows were flying over head picking bugs out of the air, while we removed mounds of invasive multiflora rose, and bittersweet. I think pictures speak louder than words.

I am covered in scratches, have a bit of a sun burn, and the ticks…oh the ticks. The best part is now the birds will have a nice open pasture to play in, just the way they like it. I guess in the end it is worth a little beating to make sure invasive plants don’t ruin a really nice bird habitat.
