MAY 14: HIGH LINE DESIGN PRESENTATION WITH JAMES CORNER, FIELD OPERATIONS FREE
James Corner, landscape architect and urban designer, will give a free High Line design preview on May 14. Corner is the founder and director of Field Operations, the landscape architecture firm working with architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro on the design for the High Line. RSVP is required.
This presentation is being held in conjunction with the High Line Festival, curated by David Bowie and running May 9-19. Friends of the High Line is not producing the High Line Festival, but a portion of the proceeds from festival tickets will be donated to FHL.

May 19: West Side Improvement Bike Tour
Architectural historian Matt Postal will lead a bike tour of the sites along the Hudson River waterfront that were part of the West Side Improvement, the massive 1930’s public works project that included the High Line. This tour is presented as park of Bike Month NYC. Tour begins at 1:00 PM and space is very limited. RSVP for meeting location.
