Freecycle.org is a way for you to take old stuff you were going to throw out and give it to someone else. You freely recycle (get it) your stuff. I have been a member for a couple of years now and have found tons of old great stuff, as well as gotten rid of lots of my old stuff.

The way it works is that you sign up for a yahoo group in your area and then post offers of stuff you want to get rid of. People then write you back and tell you that they want what you are giving away. You can then meet them at a store or parking lot and give it to them, or more likely, leave it at the end of your driveway or on your porch and they can come get it. One persons trash is anothers treasure.

Freecycle groups tend to become addictive, you have to keep yourself from snagging every old thing that passes through your inbox. The people are nice, and its all free. Give freecycle a try you wont be dissapointed.
