So it seems that because one cop was taking a piss (literally). An innocent man was shot 8 times. Jean Charles de Menezes was also NOT wearing a padded coat, and was NOT running from the cops when it happened. Good to know that my life is in the hands of people who will chase me down tackle me and shoot me in the back of the head 8 times just because they failed to turn on the surveillance camera because they were taking a piss at the time.
It seems that the British cops were not very diligent in quashing rumors like the Menezes was wearing a padded coat, or he was running from cops, or that he hopped the turnstile…none of which turned out to be true. Maybe that’s because they realized almost immediately that they had made a tremendous error and were playing cover up.
It seems the only reason this man died was because after the bombings a gym card with Menezes flat’s number on it was found. This lead police to stake out his house. When Menezes left his house the office that was supposed to be validating faces of people was taking a piss and failed to do so. Minutes later Charles was tackled and shot 8 times in the back of the head. His brains scattered all over the floor because someone fucked up.
If we let ourselves act like this the terrorists wont have to terrorize us at all. We will do a fine job of doing it to ourselves.
