Day 148:
The Turd In Chief Is Circling The Drain:
Lets be clear how this is going to go from here on in. It is going to be a daily flood of law suits, judges rulings, special investigators, laws passed that hurt the poor, and laws passed that help the rich, all while the environment falls apart around us, and real major problems people face are not solved. The inattention of our president and the republicans in congress could lead to more gun deaths, more terrorism, and more suffering. Hurricane season has begun with no head to FEMA. In short this is going to be a non-stop shit show with a high likelihood that a lot of people will die or be injured.
It is not good, and it will not get better unless we remember one thing. Things can be better. Our current situation is not our destiny. The citizens of this country have power, and a duty to use it responsibly. It is are duty as citizens to peacefully protect our nation from internal political threats.
There are elections coming up, you need to be well informed and vote for progressive candidates that will fight you. On the right and the left we must stop voting for people who do not represent us, but instead do what large donors tell them to. This means 100% of the republicans have to go and about 90% of the democrats. Its not a pretty picture, but its one we can change.
Just remember, Our Demands:
Livable Wage (at least 15 dollars an hour, and some places higher)
Health Care For All
Pay equity for women
100% renewable energy
Paid Family leave/Daycare
Free Public College
Regulate the Banks
Money out of Politics!
Pay for it by taxing the rich and large corporations, while cutting military spending.
Any candidate that supports these things is a good one, and you should vote for them. Any candidate that says they support these things but then once in office fights against them, must be voted out.
Trump and Company are symptoms of a problem, candidates that support the issues above are the cure to the underlying problem of income inequality, and environmental degradation.
Its going to be a hard fight, but its one we must win.
Until then, pay attention, and love as much as you can while still fighting as hard as you can.

Tell them you will be watching them closely on how they vote, and will hold them accountable during the next election if they cave to Trump.
