We Are All Sharing A Smaller Piece Of A Larger And Larger Pie

Robert Reich makes some very good points. The most striking of which is that for the last several decades there is a clear trend in America. The wealth is being funneled to an ever smaller group of people, while those without wealth are being asked to share a smaller and smaller share of what is left.

This might sound like a radical anarchist notion, but its true. Every serious thinker seems to agree, the numbers seem to agree, and yet no one does anything? Why? Are we really content to continue to allow this trend?

To be clear I am not advocating armed revolt, simply making a couple of simple changes. Money should not equal speech, corporations are not people, and get money has no place in politics. You make these changes, return the higher tax brackets to what they were before, and you will see a lot more honest prosperity in this country.

  1. People I know who are on the right-hand side of politics, and some pundits on the right, look at the situation, see that the poor and middle class are losing ground, and blame Obama and/or socialism. I don’t get it.
