Take that you stupid fuckers.

So here is something to think about.

Hummer H2 fuel tank size : 32 gallons
Hummer H2 Mpg: 10-13mpg
Cost of gas near my house: $3.50
Averge car driven (8000 miles per year): 22 per day.

Cost to fill Hummer H2 at $3.50 a gallon: $112
Cost to gas Hummer H2 for one day: $6.42
Cost to gas Hummer H2 for one week: $44.92
Cost to gas Hummer H2 for one year: $2335.66
Cost to gas Hummer H2 per mile: $.30

Prius fuel tank size: 12 gallons
Prius Mpg: 51-60
Cost of gas near my house: $3.50
Averge car driven (8000 miles per year): 22 per day.

Cost to fill Prius at $3.50 a gallon: $42
Cost to gas Prius for one day: $1.40
Cost to gas Prius for one week: $9.80
Cost to gas Prius for one year: $509.60
Cost to gas Prius per mile: $.06

Money saved on gas by owning a Prius rather than a Hummer H2 ($2335.66 – $509.60) = 1826.06
now this is if you only drive 22 miles per day (the average)

Frankly it should be illegal in this time of energy shortage to own a Hummer H2 or other huge SUV’s but even if it isn’t illegal is makes good finacial sence to not own one.

  1. Yeah! Hummers are scary (in addition to being huge gas guzzlers). One of these days I just know ones going to just squish my car like a tank would. If only we had a more energy-saavy president…

  2. the problem isnt so much that our president isn’t energy savvy, its that he isnt a president, he is just a puppet for oil companies and dick cheney…what we need is a president period.

  3. H2s should be removed from the roads (gasoline guzzlers), the H1’s should be used because they burn diesel and could easily be retro-fitted to burn WVO. Used military vehicles could be used instead of buying new cars (all makes and models included) to use less precious resources for essentially throw away vehicles with more complicated systems – the world doesn’t need new cars, reuse existing vehicles to exhaustion (specifically diesels which use less energy by using a fuel that requires less refining and generate less pollution).
